Howard Parks was appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Japan Tobacco International (JTI) in 2016, and has been on the company’s Executive Committee since 2017.12

Long-Standing Career with Japan Tobacco International

In 1982, Parks began at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Research and Development and has held several marketing and research roles within the company.1
Since then, he has had several leading positions, including:1

  • Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales, Chief Brand Officer (2010 – 2016)
  • Senior Vice President of Consumer & Trade Marketing (2011 – 2015)
  • Regional Consumer & Trade Marketing for the Europe Region (2000 – 2005)
  • Lead of Research and Development Geneva (appointed in 1998)
  • Marketing Director for Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico (appointed in 1991)

JTI “Global Top Employer”

In 2017, JTI was awarded the recognition of ‘Global Top Employer’ in Europe, Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions by the Top Employers Institute.3
The Institute also awarded a similar recognition to Philip Morris International (PMI)4 and British American Tobacco.5
