Tom Miers

Tom Miers is a British writer and public policy consultant who worked for the tobacco industry funded group Forest and its campaign The Free Society.1
Forest’s Simon Clark announced Miers was joining in March 2011 as commissioning editor for The Free Society (TFS) and would “speak at various events and act as spokesman for TFS on a range of issues, including tobacco”.1
Miers is a former Executive Director of the Institute of Economic Affairs (2000-2003) and the Policy Institute think tank from 2003.12 Before that he worked as a banker for Hambros and as a management consultant for KPMG.3
