Mitsuomi Koizumi has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Japan Tobacco Group (JT) since 2012.1

Extensive Career with Japan Tobacco Group

Koizumi joined Japan Tobacco and Salt Public Corporation (now known as Japan Tobacco Group) in April 1981 and has held several leading positions, including:1

  • President, Chief Executive Officer and Representative Position (2012 – 2017)
  • Executive Deputy President (2009 – 2012)
  • Chief Marketing and Sales Officer (2007 – 2009)
  • Head of Marketing and Sales General Division, Tobacco Business Headquarters (2007)
  • Executive Vice President (2006 – 2009)
  • Vice President of Tobacco Business Planning Division, Tobacco Business Headquarters (2004 – 2007)
  • Senior Vice President (2003 – 2006)
  • Head of Human Resources and Labour Relations Group (2003 – 2004)
  • Vice President of Corporate Planning Division (2001 – 2003)
