Links to Conservative Party

Chisholm Caunt has unsuccessfully stood as a Conservative election candidate several times, and was reportedly on the Conservative Party’s ‘A-list’ in 2007.4
When she stood for election to become the Conservative Party’s candidate for Southport in 2007, the local paper said she had “already made the finals of Conservative selection contests in three North West constituencies”.4 One of them was Morecambe and Lunesdale.5
She also appears to have stood for election as a councillor for the Norwood constituency in Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council in 2007. Again, she was unsuccessful.6
