Long-Standing Career in the Tobacco Industry

Devitre was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Altria Group from 2002 to 2008.2
Prior to this, Devitre held various senior roles at Philip Morris from the 1970s to the late 1990s, including:3

  • 1992-1997: Vice President Philip Morris International
  • 1992-1995: Chairman and CEO Philip Morris Japan
  • 1980-1990: President Philip Morris Asia
  • 1976-1979: Managing Director Godfrey Phillips India Ltd
  • 1974-1975: Marketing Services Manager Philip Morris International

Relationship with the Alcohol Industry

Devitre served as Director on the SABMiller Board from 2007 to 2016.
