Alun Davies has been a Labour Member of the Welsh Assembly since 2007; first for the Mid and West Wales Region, and from 2011 for Blaenau Gwent.
In 2018 he was the Welsh Cabinet Secretary for Local Government and Public Services.
Before he entered the Welsh Assembly, Davies set up a PR company in Cardiff called Bute Communications.1

Relationship with the Tobacco Industry

Bute was hired by the Tobacco Manufacturers’ Association to lobby Welsh MPs and members of the Welsh Assembly.2
